caution

Before Deleting:

  • Ensure no devices are using the profile (Device Count = 0)
  • Consider archiving important profiles instead of deleting
  • Deletion cannot be undone

Best Practices

Profile Organization

  • Use clear, descriptive names that indicate the profile's purpose
  • Include department or role information in the name (e.g., "Sales Team - Android", "Executive - High Security")
  • Keep descriptions detailed and up-to-date

Version Control

  • Document changes when modifying profiles
  • Test profile changes on a small group before wide deployment
  • Use cloning to create test versions of production profiles

Lifecycle Management

  • Regularly review and update profiles
  • Remove or archive unused profiles
  • Keep track of which profiles are assigned to which device groups
