Enrollment Overview

The Enrollment module provides methods for adding devices to the CDOT MDM system. The primary enrollment method is QR code-based enrollment.

QR Code Enrollment​

The primary enrollment method for Android devices:

  • Quick and secure enrollment process
  • Ideal for bulk enrollment scenarios
  • Ensures consistent profile application
  • Minimal user interaction required

Enrollment Workflow​

Pre-Enrollment Preparation​

  1. Configure Profiles

    • Create and configure device profiles
    • Add necessary policies and restrictions
    • Include required applications
    • Publish profiles

  2. Prepare Devices

    • Factory reset devices (recommended)
    • Ensure devices have battery charge
    • Have Wi-Fi credentials ready

  3. Setup Environment

    • Display or provide QR codes
    • Ensure stable internet connectivity
    • Prepare enrollment documentation

Enrollment Process​

  1. Select Profile – Choose appropriate profile
  2. Generate QR Code – Create enrollment QR code
  3. Scan on Device – Device scans the code
  4. Automatic Setup – MDM agent installs automatically
  5. Verification – Confirm device appears in system

Post-Enrollment​

  • Verify device in Device Management
  • Confirm profile assignment
  • Check application deployment
  • Test device functionality
