QR Code Enrollment
QR code enrollment provides a streamlined method for enrolling Android devices into the MDM system. This method is particularly useful for bulk enrollment scenarios.

Accessing QR Enrollment​
- Select QR Enrollment from the side navigation bar
- QR Enrollment page loads with profile selection
Enrollment Process​
Step 1: Select a Profile​
- Click the profile drop-down menu
- View available published profiles
- Select the profile to assign to enrolled devices

Only published profiles appear in the selection. Ensure your profile is published first.
Step 2: View Profile Details​
After selecting a profile, see:
- Profile Name
- Profile Description
- Profile Version
- Policies Included
- Restrictions
- Applications
Step 3: Generate QR Code​
- Click Generate QR button
- QR code appears on screen
- Code contains:
- Profile information
- MDM server details
- Enrollment credentials (encrypted)
- Device configuration parameters

The QR code is unique to the selected profile and contains all necessary information for automatic enrollment.
Step 4: Device Setup​
On the Android device:

Prepare Device
- Factory reset device (recommended)
- Power on and connect to Wi-Fi

Start Setup Wizard
- Follow Android setup wizard
- When prompted, tap six times on welcome screen
- This activates the QR code scanner

Scan QR Code
- Device camera activates
- Point camera at the QR code
- Wait for scan and processing

Complete Enrollment
- MDM agent downloads and installs automatically
- Profile settings are applied
- Required applications install
- Device appears in Device Management

- Ensure the device has stable internet during enrollment to prevent interruptions.
QR Code Controls​
Blur QR Button​
- Click Blur QR to obscure the code
- Prevents unauthorized scanning
- Use when screen is visible to others
- Click Generate QR again to make visible
Generate QR Button​
- Makes QR code visible
- Creates fresh QR code
- Updates with current profile settings
Requirements​
Device Requirements​
- Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) or higher
- Functional rear camera for scanning
- Sufficient storage for MDM agent and apps
- Touchscreen capable of detecting six taps
Network Requirements​
- Internet connectivity (Wi-Fi or mobile data)
- Access to MDM server
- Required ports open (443, 8080)
Profile Requirements​
- Profile must be published
- Include at least basic policies
- Required apps must be available
- Web apps properly configured
Troubleshooting​
QR Code Not Scanning​
Solutions:
- Ensure six taps on welcome screen
- Check camera permissions
- Improve lighting conditions
- Ensure QR code fully visible
- Try regenerating the code
Enrollment Fails​
Solutions:
- Verify internet connectivity
- Check MDM server accessibility
- Ensure profile is published
- Verify applications available
- Check firewall settings
Device Not Appearing​
Solutions:
- Wait and refresh Device Management
- Check device internet connection
- Verify MDM agent installed
- Review device logs
- Attempt enrollment again

- Generate QR code for student profile
- Display on projector/large screen
