Applications Overview

The Applications module provides comprehensive tools for managing applications across your enrolled devices. You can add, update, delete, and deploy applications efficiently through the CDOT MDM interface.

Application Management Interface​

The application table provides a structured and user-friendly interface for managing applications. Access it by selecting Applications from the side navigation bar.

Table Columns​

Each row represents an application and contains the following information:

  • Application Name – Clickable link to access detailed application information
  • Package Identifier – Unique identifier assigned to each application (e.g., com.example.app)
  • Pre-installation Status – Indicates whether the application is pre-installed on devices
  • Latest Version – Drop-down menu displaying all available versions, sorted in descending order
  • Action Buttons – Edit and Delete options for managing the application entry

  • The table dynamically updates to display relevant details as applications are added or modified.

Exporting Application Data​

Export application data for reporting, analysis, and compliance purposes.

Export Options​

  1. Click the Export button at the top of the table

  2. Select your preferred format:

    • CSV – For spreadsheet analysis and data manipulation
    • PDF – For formal reports and documentation
  3. The file downloads to your designated location

Export Features​

  • Excludes action columns (Edit, Delete) to maintain data integrity
  • Includes all application metadata and version information
  • Formatted for easy integration with external reporting tools

Click on any Application Name to view comprehensive details.

Comprehensive Application Information:

  • Package name and identifier
  • Developer information
  • Application category
  • Deployment specifics
  • Total installations

Version History:

  • All previously released versions
  • Release dates and changelogs
  • Version-specific information
  • Download URLs

Deployment Statistics:

  • Number of devices using each version
  • Distribution across device types
  • Installation success rates

Interactive Features​

  • Device Count Click – Navigate to Device Info page showing which devices have this app
  • URL Click – Opens download links in a new browser tab for verification
